Our goals

Enhancing Biodiversity

Promote and protect local wildlife and natural habitats by creating safe, sustainable environments that support biodiversity, ecological balance, and conservation efforts.

Inspire and educate the community about nature, sustainability, and conservation through workshops, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning experiences that encourage a deeper connection with the natural world.

Community Engagement

Provide accessible green spaces and nature-based programs that support mental and physical wellbeing, offering individuals a chance to reconnect with nature for relaxation, mindfulness, and improved health.

Wellbeing Through Nature

How it all started

The Wild Haven Project was born from our own personal experiences of how nature can profoundly support mental health. In times of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty, we found solace in the natural world—whether it was through greenwood working, wild camping, or practicing other traditional woodland skills. These moments of connection with nature became a source of healing, grounding, and renewal.

At the same time, we became increasingly aware of the growing disconnect between modern society and the natural world. As technology and urban life pull people further away from the rhythms of nature, many have lost the knowledge and skills that once allowed us to live in harmony with the land. This disconnect has not only affected our mental wellbeing but also our ability to care for and appreciate the environment around us.

With a deep passion for woodland traditional skills, conservation, and mental wellbeing, we founded The Wild Haven Project—a space where people can reconnect with nature, learn hands-on skills rooted in our shared heritage, and experience the peace and fulfilment that come from engaging with the natural world. Through workshops, community events, and immersive outdoor experiences, we aim to rebuild this lost connection, inspiring a healthier, more sustainable relationship with the land and each other.
